Will my child be supervised?child painting

Yes. Students are not allowed to be unsupervised while on campus. Students will be supervised during both class and breaks by their teacher or another staff person.

How many classes can a child take?

Students can take one or two classes during each regular session (morning and afternoon). For the weeks of June 25-29 and July 23-27, the student attends all day.

Will my child go on field trip?

Some classes do. If a class has a field trip, we coordinate with parents who are willing and available to be drivers. Please contact either the teacher or EXCEL staff directly if you are willing to help. To become a driver for a field trip you must fill out the required paperwork. This includes bringing a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Do I have to pay to park when I drop off my child?

EXCEL parking passes are valid for the 15-minute drop-off and pick-up period. Passes are mailed with the student packets in May.

Can my child ride his/her bike or take the bus?

Yes. We have a special release form for parents to sign.

Can I get a refund?

A $25 nonrefundable processing fee is deducted for each class dropped two weeks prior to class start. NO refunds are given if canceling within two weeks of the first day of class.

What happens at lunch?

There is a supervised lunch period called Lunch Bunch from 12:15 - 1 p.m. Teachers accompany students to and from the lunch area. Students are checked in and have lunch inside for 15 minutes. At 12:30 p.m., they can choose to stay inside and play games, read or visit, or they can go outside to a supervised area to play with sports equipment and other outdoor activities, such as chalk, bubbles, etc. Students are not allowed to leave this area unless accompanied by an adult.

Is it overnight camp?
